Ecosage Joins the United Nations Global Compact for the Third Consecutive Year

News & Events 08.08.2025

What is the UN Global Compact?

The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is the world’s largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative. Launched in 2000, it has united more than 20,000 companies and organizations from over 160 countries. Participants commit to aligning their strategies and operations with Ten Principles across human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption, while contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The UNGC is not just a symbolic network. It provides a framework for accountability, transparent reporting, and collaboration. It encourages businesses to transform sustainability ambitions into real, measurable action.

EcoSage’s three-year commitment

EcoSage is proud to announce that we have renewed our commitment to the UN Global Compact for the third consecutive year. This achievement is not about signing a membership, it is about consistently proving that our operations, strategies, and innovations are aligned with international standards.

Every year, EcoSage reports progress through the Communication on Progress (CoP). By sustaining participation over three years, we demonstrate that our dedication to responsible business is continuous, long-term, and central to our identity.

EcoSage: APAC footprint, global commitment

Our operational footprint is firmly in the Asia-Pacific region, with projects in Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, and beyond. However, sustainability challenges are global. Waste does not respect borders; climate change and resource depletion are worldwide crises.

By participating in the UNGC, EcoSage shows that while our actions are rooted in APAC, our commitment extends globally. We align local circular economy solutions with international frameworks, ensuring that our clients’ projects not only meet regional compliance but also contribute to global sustainability goals.

Why EcoSage joined the UN Global Compact

EcoSage’s vision is empowering sustainability. We believe sustainability is not just a compliance requirement—it is a driver of resilience, innovation, and long-term value creation. Our participation in the UNGC reflects this vision in three ways:

  • Alignment with our mission
We accelerate the circular economy by helping businesses design for disassembly, manage resources responsibly, and scale closed-loop solutions. The Ten Principles of the UNGC align seamlessly with these goals.

  • Demonstrating effort and will
In today’s sustainability landscape, it is not enough to have a vision—companies must prove their actions, not just their ambitions. EcoSage demonstrates this through transparent reporting, consistent delivery, and continuous improvement in sustainability practices.

  • Connecting local actions to global change
From textile upcycling in Seoul to secure packaging recycling in Hong Kong, our projects have regional roots but deliver outcomes that contribute to the global sustainability agenda. The UNGC allows us to amplify these efforts on an international platform.

What participation means for EcoSage

Our membership in the UNGC comes with responsibility:

  • Transparency: We publish annual reports on how we apply the Ten Principles in our operations.
  • Accountability: We ensure integrity across waste audits, recycling programs, compliance frameworks, and ESG services.
  • Collaboration: As part of the UNGC, we engage with partners to share knowledge and strengthen solutions that drive positive impact.

Looking ahead: Scaling impact globally

The next phase of our journey is about linking our APAC expertise with global solutions. We will:

  • Embed UNGC principles more deeply into every part of our business, from supplier selection to project delivery.
  • Scale closed-loop initiatives that showcase how circularity can reduce costs while maximizing resource recovery.
  • Use data and AI to measure, track, and share sustainability impacts with clarity and precision.
  • Build partnerships that accelerate cross-border sustainability efforts extending beyond APAC.

Why Partner with EcoSage?

Joining the United Nations Global Compact for the third consecutive year highlights EcoSage’s role as more than a local player, we are an international brand with a global vision.

For an international brand, treating sustainability is fundamentally different from how a purely local business approaches it. If your company is serious about sustainability, you need a partner who understands both local execution in APAC and global alignment with UN standards.

EcoSage brings both: practical expertise in circular economy solutions and a proven commitment to international frameworks.

Partner with EcoSage, because driving global sustainability requires vendors with global vision.
